What Is Actually Included in a Clinic Software Plan, and What Is a Paid Add-On

Antony Dick·Founder & CEO, CuraVerto·29 July 2026·7 min read

Most clinic software quotes answer one question, what the plan costs, and leave three unanswered: what the plan actually contains, which capabilities are separately priced modules, and what gets billed by usage on top. A clinic that only compares licence fees can sign at the lowest headline number and still end up with the highest invoice. CuraVerto publishes all three layers, and this post sets them out in the order a buyer runs into them.

The three layers of a clinic software bill

The licence.
A recurring fee for the platform itself. This is the number vendors advertise. CuraVerto charges it as a flat annual fee per clinic, not per doctor, and takes no commission on consultations.
Separately priced modules.
Capabilities that are real products in their own right, sold as bolt-ons rather than bundled. CuraVerto has three of these, plus one capability that requires a specific plan rather than a bolt-on. Both are set out below.
Metered usage.
Costs that only exist when the clinic uses something, billed from a prepaid wallet. For CuraVerto this is WhatsApp messaging, AI Scribe minutes and teleconsultation minutes. A clinic that sends nothing pays nothing here.

Layer one: what each CuraVerto plan includes

PlanAnnual fee, excl. GSTDoctors and branchesWhat the licence covers
Essential₹9,999 per year1 doctor, 1 branchCore EMR, appointments and scheduling, digital prescriptions delivered over WhatsApp, the WhatsApp booking bot, GST billing and family profiles
Pro₹24,999 per yearUnlimited doctors, 1 branch includedEverything in Essential, plus AI Scribe, broadcast campaigns, specialty modules such as Dental, and multi-branch support
Plus₹49,999 per yearUnlimited doctors, 3 branches includedEverything in Pro, plus the IVF and Fertility module and audit logs

Two details in that table do more work than the headline figures. The first is that CuraVerto charges no per-doctor fee on any plan, so a clinic on Pro pays ₹24,999 per year at one doctor and ₹24,999 per year at ten. The second is that additional branches on CuraVerto Pro and Plus are ₹9,999 per year each, which is the only part of the licence that scales with the size of the practice.

Layer two: the modules that are genuinely optional

CuraVerto sells three capabilities as add-on modules that bolt onto the Pro and Plus plans rather than shipping inside them: an in-house Pharmacy module, a Lead Generation and Inbox module, and a Lab and Diagnostics module. A clinic that does not run a pharmacy counter or an in-house lab does not buy those modules and does not pay for them. This is a deliberate packaging choice rather than a gap, and it is worth checking against any vendor that bundles everything into one tier, because a bundled tier charges every clinic for the capabilities only some of them use.

One capability works differently and is the most common source of confusion. The CuraVerto IVF and Fertility module is not a bolt-on that can be added to any plan: it requires the Plus plan at ₹49,999 per year. A fertility clinic pricing CuraVerto should read the Plus figure as its starting point, not the Pro figure with a module added.

The one that surprises people: teleconsultation is not a tier gate

Teleconsultation is available on every CuraVerto plan, including Essential at ₹9,999 per year. It is not reserved for a higher tier and it is not a bolt-on module that has to be bought. Instead it is metered: CuraVerto bills ₹5 per minute for video or audio consultation with recording included, and ₹3 per minute for the optional AI transcript. A clinic that runs no video consultations pays nothing for the capability while still having it available, and a clinic that runs many pays in proportion to what it used.

Layer three: what metered usage actually costs

Metered itemCuraVerto rateWhen it applies
WhatsApp utility templates₹0.15 per messageAppointment reminders, confirmations and digital prescription delivery
Patient replies inside the 24-hour service windowFreeWhen a patient replies to the clinic within 24 hours of a message
WhatsApp marketing broadcasts₹0.88 per messagePromotional broadcast campaigns only, a separate and higher rate from the utility rate
AI Scribe₹1 per minuteConsultation dictation transcribed into the note, on Pro and Plus
Teleconsultation₹5 per minuteVideo or audio consultation with recording, on every plan including Essential
Teleconsultation AI transcript₹3 per minuteOptional, added to a teleconsultation

The rate worth reading twice is the broadcast one. CuraVerto bills utility templates at ₹0.15 per message and marketing broadcasts at ₹0.88 per message, and those two numbers describe different things. Reminders, confirmations and prescription delivery, which is the overwhelming majority of what a clinic sends, are the ₹0.15 category. The ₹0.88 rate is not CuraVerto's base per-message price and should not be used to estimate the cost of a clinic's routine patient messaging.

Four questions that separate a licence quote from a real budget

Does the fee move when we hire?
A per-doctor or per-practitioner model multiplies with headcount, so the number quoted for a solo practice is not the number a three-doctor clinic pays. CuraVerto charges no per-doctor fee on any plan, so the licence holds constant as the clinic hires.
Does the fee move when patient volume moves?
Commission and per-appointment models rise with collections or bookings. CuraVerto takes no commission on consultations and charges nothing per appointment, so a busier month changes the messaging wallet, not the licence.
Which capabilities are modules rather than inclusions?
The answer changes the comparison entirely. On CuraVerto, Pharmacy, Lead Generation and Inbox, and Lab and Diagnostics are separately priced modules on Pro and Plus, the IVF and Fertility module requires Plus, and teleconsultation is metered on every plan.
Is the quoted price inclusive or exclusive of GST?
This is worth confirming with every vendor, because a like-for-like comparison breaks if one figure includes tax and the other does not. CuraVerto publishes ₹9,999, ₹24,999 and ₹49,999 per year exclusive of GST.
