# Secure IVF EMR

IVF clinics handle highly sensitive data — donor identities, genetic test
results, consent documents, and ART cycle records. CuraVerto's secure IVF
EMR builds in role-based access, audit logs, and immutable consent records
designed for the obligations set by the ICMR ART Act 2021 and the Digital
Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act 2023. It is part of CuraVerto's
integrated IVF EMR, gated to the Plus plan.

## Security and compliance features

- **Donor identity protection**: donor records are stored separately from
  recipient cycle records. Only users with explicit donor-registry access can
  view donor PII. Cycle records reference donors by an internal ID, not by
  name, maintaining anonymity in the clinical record.
- **Digital consent (WhatsApp OTP)**: ICMR-compliant consent forms (fresh
  cycle, FET, donor, surrogacy) are generated and signed by patients via
  WhatsApp OTP or an in-clinic digital pad. Signed documents are stored as
  immutable PDFs against the patient record.
- **Immutable audit log**: every create, update, and status change on IVF
  cycle records, consent documents, and lab entries is logged with user ID,
  timestamp, and previous value, for medico-legal review.
- **Role-based access control**: embryologists see lab entries, clinicians
  see the full cycle record, reception can schedule but not view lab data,
  and finance sees billing only. Permissions are configurable per clinic by
  the admin.
- **Multi-tenant data isolation**: each clinic's data is isolated at the
  database level, with row-level security on every table — no cross-clinic
  data access is possible regardless of user role.
- **NABH fertility KPI tracking**: the NABH fertility centre KPIs (clinical
  pregnancy rate, cancellation rate, OHSS rate, and others) are tracked
  automatically from cycle data.

## Consent documents

CuraVerto generates ICMR ART consent forms for fresh cycle, FET, donor, and
surrogacy cycles, with patient signature captured digitally and stored as
immutable PDFs.

## Data location

Plus-tier tenants get a per-tenant encryption key, and data is stored in
India.

## Plan

The IVF and Fertility module, including the security and compliance features
described here, requires the Plus plan (₹49,999/year). Audit logs as a
platform-wide capability are also a Plus-plan feature.
