# IVF Cycle Management

CuraVerto's cycle management module orchestrates the end-to-end IVF journey
— baseline scan, stimulation protocol, egg retrieval, fertilisation, embryo
transfer, and luteal support — recording every milestone in a structured
timeline linked to the patient's EMR. It is part of CuraVerto's integrated
IVF EMR, gated to the Plus plan.

## What the cycle management module covers

- **Protocol templates**: long, short, antagonist, natural, and donor-cycle
  protocol templates pre-loaded with the correct milestone sequence, selected
  and customised per patient.
- **Stimulation monitoring**: follicular scan findings (count and diameter,
  left/right ovary) and hormone values (E2, P4, LH) recorded at each
  monitoring visit, with follicle growth plotted over stimulation days.
- **Trigger decision support**: the system highlights trigger readiness when
  leading follicles reach 18–20 mm and E2 is in range; clinicians confirm or
  override with a note.
- **OHSS risk flags**: configurable antral follicle count and E2 thresholds
  trigger OHSS risk alerts on the cycle record, prompting a protocol review
  note before over-response.
- **Lab and cryo linkage**: retrieval count, fertilisation, embryo grades,
  and cryo status are linked from the same cycle record, avoiding separate
  lookups between clinical and lab modules.
- **WhatsApp milestone updates**: scan reminders, trigger injection timing,
  retrieval confirmation, and transfer-day logistics are sent to patients
  automatically.

## Cycle types supported

Fresh IVF/ICSI, frozen embryo transfer (FET), natural cycle FET, donor egg
cycle, donor sperm cycle, embryo donation, and surrogacy cycle each have
their own protocol template with the correct milestone sequence.

## Starting a cycle

A cycle can be started directly from an appointment: select the package,
confirm the protocol, and the cycle is live.

## Relationship to the rest of the IVF EMR

Cycle management is the coordinating layer for the IVF EMR — the lab module
records embryology and retrieval data against the same cycle record, and
cryo status reads from the same timeline, so the full journey from
stimulation to transfer is visible in one place.

## Plan

The IVF and Fertility module, including cycle management, requires the Plus
plan (₹49,999/year).
