The word covers very different products — a two-way booking bot, a one-way reminder feed, or an outbound notification plugin. Here is what eight platforms' WhatsApp integration actually does, sourced from each vendor's own published pricing and feature pages. Almost every clinic management brochure sold in India in 2026 claims "WhatsApp integration" somewhere on its pricing page. The phrase covers three very different products: a two-way booking bot a patient can message to get an appointment, a one-way reminder and document feed the clinic sends outbound, or a plain notification plugin that fires an alert and nothing else. A clinic evaluating software on the strength of that one word, without checking which of the three it actually gets, can end up paying for WhatsApp support that never lets a patient book. This comparison covers eight platforms — CuraVerto, Practo Ray, MocDoc, Clinicea, HealthPlix, Eka Care, KiviHealth, and DocPulse — specifically on what each one's WhatsApp capability does, not on price or feature breadth generally. CuraVerto is one of the eight, not the only one compared, and several of these platforms already ship real WhatsApp automation; the honest differences are in direction (one-way vs two-way), scope (notifications vs a full booking channel), and whether the per-message cost is published. ## How we built this comparison Every WhatsApp-capability claim below is pulled directly from the vendor's own pricing or feature page, cross-referenced against CuraVerto's existing feature-comparison pages for each competitor. Where a vendor's own site does not describe WhatsApp behaviour in enough detail to characterise it precisely — Eka Care's WhatsApp use is described only as centred on follow-up reminders, for instance — we say exactly that rather than guessing at scope beyond what is published. | Software | WhatsApp capability | Pricing model | Best for | | --- | --- | --- | --- | | CuraVerto | Two-way booking bot on the official Meta Cloud API — patients book by messaging, ₹0.15/utility message | Flat annual, per-branch | Clinics wanting patients to book by sending a message, not calling reception | | Clinicea | One-way automated WhatsApp today (reminders, confirmations, prescriptions, invoices, receipts) via Callbox for inbound; two-way conversational WhatsApp is roadmap, not shipped | Per-doctor / month | Solo doctor wanting deep specialty templates, comfortable with one-way WhatsApp for now | | KiviHealth | "Limited" WhatsApp booking bot, per its own feature table | Flat annual | Solo doctor, EMR-only, tight budget | | MocDoc | Outbound notifications only (registrations, appointments, billing via SMS/email/WhatsApp) — not a booking or consent flow | Quote-based | Multi-specialty hospitals already sold on MocDoc's combined OPD/IPD/pharmacy/lab platform | | HealthPlix | Patient communication runs on a fixed annual "Plix Credits" quota (5,000 Pro / 10,000 Elite), not unmetered WhatsApp | Per-doctor / year | Practice needing built-in ABDM integration today | | Eka Care | WhatsApp use, per its own site, centred on follow-up reminders only | Per-doctor / year | ABDM integration plus a consumer health-records ecosystem | | Practo Ray | No native WhatsApp booking bot published; patient discovery runs through Practo's own consumer app instead | Per-doctor + revenue share | New practice needing patient discovery via the Practo network | | DocPulse | No published WhatsApp booking bot found on its own site | Quote-based | Multi-branch chain wanting a dedicated, established chain-management vendor | ## Recommendations by need - Want patients to book an appointment by sending a WhatsApp message, with no app to install: CuraVerto is the only platform in this comparison with that as a named, built-in booking bot on the official Meta Cloud API. - Already on Clinicea and happy with its specialty templates, but want two-way WhatsApp booking on the same platform: that capability is on Clinicea's own published roadmap, not shipped today — its one-way automated reminders, confirmations, prescriptions, invoices and receipts keep working in the meantime, with Callbox handling inbound. - On a tight budget and only need EMR plus some WhatsApp automation: KiviHealth's own feature table describes its patient WhatsApp capability as "Limited" — worth confirming directly with KiviHealth exactly what that covers before assuming it matches a full booking flow. - Running a multi-specialty hospital already evaluating MocDoc for its combined OPD/IPD/pharmacy/lab platform: MocDoc's WhatsApp is outbound notifications for registrations, appointments and billing, not a conversational booking channel — plan for a separate booking path if that matters to the practice. - Need built-in ABDM integration today and can live with a fixed annual communication-credit quota: HealthPlix bundles WhatsApp and other patient communication as "Plix Credits," 5,000/year on Pro or 10,000/year on Elite. - Want the ABDM-plus-consumer-health-records ecosystem and are fine with WhatsApp as follow-up reminders only: Eka Care's own site does not describe a two-way booking flow over WhatsApp. - Building a brand-new practice with no existing patient base: Practo Ray's patient-discovery marketplace solves a different problem than WhatsApp automation does — CuraVerto does not have an equivalent consumer discovery network. - Running an established multi-branch chain across India, the Middle East or Africa and comfortable with a sales-led evaluation: DocPulse is a dedicated chain-management product, though it does not publish a WhatsApp booking feature on its own site. ### Sources - [CuraVerto pricing](https://curaverto.com/pricing) — WhatsApp booking bot included from the Essential tier, ₹9,999/year - [CuraVerto vs Clinicea](https://curaverto.com/compare/clinicea) — Full feature and pricing comparison, including the one-way vs two-way WhatsApp nuance - [CuraVerto vs KiviHealth](https://curaverto.com/compare/kivihealth) — Full feature and pricing comparison - [CuraVerto vs MocDoc](https://curaverto.com/compare/mocdoc) — Full feature and pricing comparison - [CuraVerto vs HealthPlix](https://curaverto.com/compare/healthplix) — Full feature and pricing comparison - [CuraVerto vs Eka Care](https://curaverto.com/compare/ekacare) — Full feature and pricing comparison - [CuraVerto vs Practo Ray](https://curaverto.com/compare/practo) — Full feature and pricing comparison - [CuraVerto vs DocPulse](https://curaverto.com/compare/docpulse) — Full feature and pricing comparison - [WhatsApp Clinic Management India](https://curaverto.com/blog/whatsapp-clinic-management-india) — How Indian clinics run bookings, reminders and prescriptions over WhatsApp day to day - [WhatsApp-Native EMR vs WhatsApp Integration](https://curaverto.com/blog/whatsapp-native-emr-vs-whatsapp-integration) — The 7-question test to tell a native WhatsApp channel from a notification bolt-on, for any vendor ## What "WhatsApp integration" is actually hiding The table above sorts into three real categories, not one. CuraVerto runs a two-way booking bot; Clinicea already ships one-way automated delivery. Both are genuine, working WhatsApp features — they differ in direction, not in whether WhatsApp support exists at all. MocDoc, Eka Care, and HealthPlix's communication-credit model sit closer to a notification layer: useful, but not built as the primary channel a patient uses to get an appointment. Practo Ray and DocPulse do not publish a WhatsApp booking capability at all as of this writing. None of this makes the notification-only or one-way platforms bad software — it means the label "WhatsApp integration" on a pricing page answers almost nothing on its own, and the question worth asking any vendor directly is whether a patient can start a booking from their own WhatsApp app, or only receive messages from one. The honest takeaway: match the platform to what "WhatsApp integration" needs to mean for the clinic's own patients. If the requirement is patients booking by message with no app to install, CuraVerto is built around that specifically. If deep specialty templates matter more than booking direction today, Clinicea's one-way automated WhatsApp already covers reminders, confirmations, prescriptions, invoices, and receipts while two-way booking is still on its roadmap. If ABDM integration is the hard requirement, HealthPlix and Eka Care get a clinic there today, with WhatsApp as a secondary, more limited channel. --- Canonical: https://curaverto.com/blog/best-emr-whatsapp-integration-india Contact: sales@curaverto.com This document is CuraVerto's own description of its product.
